pictures
October 29th, 2008well, as i was just uploading; i rec’d a message that our ‘disk space is full.’ we can upgrade and actually pay for this blog to get more space, or i can delete old pictures from our files; which i learned takes them out of old postings. so as i sit and ponder the last two years on this blog, maybe it is time to move on to another hole in cyberspace. i’ll post some pictures for now. a random sampling of augustseptemberoctober. we have done so many fun things, as you can see. various fairs state and county. which btw, the MN state fair has NOTHING on the NYS fair. Apple picking with our super good friends from across the street, Anna, Dustin, Henry (3yo) and Caroline (1yo) Cole. Painting the street in our neighborhood to promote slower traffic and bring neigborhoods together. Raking leaves with Daddy. Taking a trip back East to see my good friend Kristin Kent get married, and getting to spend some time at “camp.”

When I look back even to the pictures on the carousel, Max has changed so much even in these last three months!
And what is amazing too, is Kristin and I have been friends for the last 30 years! Incredible. I guess we are getting older, but time just seems to be relative. Lots of memories we have together, 30 years worth. I feel bad that such a beautiful bride is captured in such a goofy photo, but i think it’s pretty fitting. we are both a little “off” as people say. and I think it was WELL into the reception… haven’t had a hangover like that in quite a while. So i adjourn. And will post some text if I chose to move the blog somewhere else.!!
AugustSeptemberOctober
October 29th, 2008Can I jam the last three months into one entry? Are there people out there who periodically check this and are thinking, holy crap; she actually posted something? Well, I have to say working has me very busy; the three days I work, the house comes to a stand still, so the day off after working, is laundry, replenishing groceries and paying enough attention to max - so that he won’t destroy the house, push every button (literally) on electronically powered things (and on mommy) and stay one step ahead of him to help him avoid a temper tantrum. i do have to stop myself from laughing at times when the end result of a disapproving action is me trying to take from him something he has and thus a max and mommy tug-of-war with max screaming and falling all over.
this blogging is time consuming as far as updating pictures; our computer is old and slow so i’d rather just avoid it. so i will adjourn this post and get some pictures updated….

Weekend Update
July 28th, 2008Big things happening these last few days. First off we had a BLAST this weekend. Took a little day trip to the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi. It was about an hour and a half drive. Our first stop was the Rush River Produce farm, where we picked blueberries on this amazingly beautiful farm. It was admist rolling hills and nothing but other farms, took some dirt roads to get to it. I wasn’t sure if we would be able to logisitically pick blueberries with a toddler, but oh boy did this boy hold his own! Once he realized that he could get them off the bushes like Mommy and Daddy were, and not take them out of our basket, he was OFF! I re-directed him to only eat the blue ones and not the ones on the ground (which he mostly obeyed). He was so freaking cute you could cry! They had a Little Tikes play thing which we called the playground, which he went back to a couple of times and then could get re-directed to go back to the blueberries. Next was the “new town,” a teenie little town similar to an Adirondack town, we had a great brunch and bought a little pie to-go before heading off to a little sandy beach the next town down, where Max and I went swimming, the water was a little gross for my liking and there was no way I was going under, but Max loved it - ”the beach” and the “mississippi river.” I don’t feel like phonetically spelling all of Max’s words, his language comprehension and his ability to process thoughts and express those thoughts is really incredible, he seems so mature!
I’ll add the pictures in the next couple of days as I will have a little time, for Max started SCHOOL today! Well, daycare. And at the end of the day, I think he really enjoyed it. It didn’t help though that he was a big crab when he woke up today. He cried and sobbed while we were there getting settled. I forgot his soymilk, sunscreen and diaper cream, so ran back to get those and when i checked back in, (through the one way glass) he was sitting with one of the teachers, Ms Megan and doing that “shoulder shake and deep breathing” after you have cried very hard and are trying to settle yourself back down. It was all very adorable and there are so many more thoughts to get down, but I wanted to get the weekend addressed first and then I can talk more about school. For now, I’ll get this stuff out and then get some pictures updated soon.
:)
